Take a moment of silence. Take a deep breath and let the stillness speak. There is a voice deeper than mere words. A whisper that can only be heard by a heart willing to listen. "Listen to Him!" That was the voice from the cloud at the mountaintop when the disciples saw Jesus in His glory. But have we truly listened? Or have we only heard without truly understanding?

Blind Eyes, Deaf Ears
Someone who cannot see loses the world of color and light. But someone who cannot hear may be even more unfortunate. Because hearing is not just about catching sounds but about understanding. The voice of a mother calling her child with love. The cry of the oppressed seeking justice. The sighs of those hungry and thirsty for care. We may hear these sounds, but do we truly listen? A deaf heart is a heart that shuts itself off. And in a world filled with noise, the voice of God is often drowned out. We prefer to hear what pleases us rather than what leads us to truth. We choose to hear praise instead of correction, comfort instead of change. But God never stops speaking. He calls through our conscience, through His Word, and through everyday life.

A Promise Waiting for Its Time
God promised Abraham descendants as numerous as the stars and a land for them to inherit. But the years passed, and he kept waiting. Are we like Abraham? Waiting for God’s promises with patience, or do we start doubting and asking, "God, when? Why so long?"True faith is when we dare to believe without seeing. When we keep walking even when the path ahead is still dark. Abraham believed, and that made him righteous before God. Not all of God’s promises come quickly, but all of His promises will be fulfilled. But will we still listen and trust before that happens?

A Body Too Glorified or Neglected
In Philippi, some people had an unhealthy relationship with their bodies. Some glorified their bodies, chasing endless pleasures. Others neglected them, seeing their bodies as burdens. Haven’t we also fallen into these traps? Some people love the world too much, seeking enjoyment while forgetting that we were created not just to live but to live for God. Others fall into despair, losing respect for their bodies and lives as if everything were meaningless.

Christ died and rose again to remind us: there is more to life than just our bodies and this world. We are called to something greater, something more glorious. But to embrace that, we must be willing to listen to His call, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone.

On the Mountaintop and in the Valley
The disciples saw Jesus in glory on the mountaintop. But soon, they would see Him suffering in Gethsemane. That is how our lives are. There are moments of glory, but there are also moments of suffering. True faith does not only stand firm on the mountaintop but remains steadfast in the valley.

When we are on the mountaintop, we hear His voice clearly. But what about when we are in darkness? Do we still listen? Or do we let fear, disappointment, and despair close our ears?

Listen to Him!
God’s voice is always there. In His Word, in our daily lives, in the whispers of our conscience that never cease. But do we listen? Or are we too distracted by the voices of the world leading us astray?Tonight, in the silence, ask yourself: Am I truly listening to God? Or am I too busy with the noise of the world that misguides me? God is calling. God is speaking. Listen to Him!
