On behalf of the GN 50 Group (50 Novena Movement), we invite everyone to pray together during this Advent period. This period of grace is very good if it is filled with diligent prayer and deep repentance. The worldwide Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of St.Andrew the Apostle every 30 November. Starting from the St. Andrews celebration until Christmas, there is a tradition to welcome Christmas, namely by praying regularly "Novena Santo Andreas". Although it is called the Novena of St. Andrews, it is not actually associated specifically with Saint Andrew. Because it started at the Feast of St. Andrew the Apostle. This novena is popularly known as the Novena Santo Andreas. This novena is not like your normal nine-day novena. This is a beautiful string of prayers that will continue to be said throughout Advent through Christmas. This short prayer focuses on the birth of Christ and can be a great meditation prayer during Advent. Take time each day to say this prayer for a specific need: for hope, joy, salvation or even times of pain and despair. Therefore, during this Advent period, we of GN 50 do not have any other Novena, except for the Novena of St. Andrews. GN 50 offers you a general intention, namely: We pray for world peace and specifically for peace and harmony in religious life in Indonesia.
The Novena Santo Andreas begins with a victory sign:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Greetings and bless the times and times
Where the Son of God was born
From the purest Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem,
in the cold.
At that time, O my God, I beg you,
Oh, my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my wish,
State your request here: We pray for world peace and in particular peace and harmony of religious life in Indonesia)
through the merits of our Savior Jesus Christ,
and Blessed Mother.
Amen.
Pray 1 x Our Father and 1 X Hail Marys and Glory.
