What is a good reference for Catholic faith formation?

The question above was asked by someone after going through a discussion. The discussion occurred because in a video a Catholic priest explained the Bible to his people and it turned out that the references used were from websites that did not include official documents and sources from the Catholic church. There is no formal prohibition in this regard, but it is recommended that priests, in teaching, give faith-deepening conferences using sources such as these: the Scriptures, Sacred Traditions, Teachings of the Church Fathers, Official Church Documents, the Catechism. The Catholic Church and the writings of the Saints.
Of course these sources are confronted with reality or experience, reflections of other writers.

What is God's plan for mankind?

Allah, who is perfect and full of happiness, plans to share His goodness by creating humans so that they will share in His happiness. In the fullness of time, when the time came, God the Father sent His Son as the Redeemer and Savior of men, who had fallen into sin, called all into His Church, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, adopted them as His children and heir to eternal happiness. ( cf. Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, first part: Confession of the Faith, p. 15 )
